Experience prior to PFS

Somer prepared and examined abstracts of titles, leases, contracts, plats and other legal instruments to determine ownership breakdown of surface and mineral rights and interests.  Prepared and examined title instruments and runsheets regarding legal instruments and requirements pertaining to title.  Prepared maps and deed plots utilizing metes and bounds. Researched various public records in county courthouses specifically in West Texas [Permian] and South Texas [Eagleford Shale].  Performed various curative work, including, but not limited to, breaks in chain, probate, affidavits, tax certifications and lease briefs.  Executed Mineral Ownership Reports, Lease Checks, and Due Diligence Reports.  Performed leasing agent operations, including but not limited to, executing OGMLs, bonus checks, and pertinent and cursory title for leasing.

What I do for PFS

She is a Project Manager for Texas title projects ranging from cursory to full title, curative, leasing and even lease analysis.  On any given day, she manages 3-4 crews ranging from 1 to 10 people each.  Her job starts with working up the initial project work orders and client communications to daily team communications and project management, leaning in whenever possible, to final review and overall project completion. Her goal to make sure that each client is well satisfied with the work performed.

Bio

Given a passion for politics, Somer pursued a BA degree in Political Science, as well as my law degree and bar license with the State Bar of Texas.  She studied law with the Honorable Supreme Court Justice Alito in Innsbruck, Austria, and was also the Head Editor for Prof. Vincent Johnson’s Advanced Torts casebook.  She has enjoyed practicing as an Oil and Gas Title Attorney for the last nine years.  She lives in Bandera, Texas in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with her husband, Randy Adkins, our 3-year old daughter, River Adkins, one miniature Australian Shepherd, Lilly Dale, four cats and one beta fish.  In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, yoga, gardening, hunting and reading novels.
